Fazaa Card 2026: What It Is, Who Can Get It, Benefits and How to Sign Up
Quick Answer
The Fazaa card is a UAE membership card that gives discounts and services on shopping, healthcare, travel, cars, dining and entertainment. It is run by the Ministry of Interior’s Social Solidarity Fund and is not open to the general public. You can usually get it if you:
- Work for the Ministry of Interior, a government or semi-government entity, or a private company registered with Fazaa
- Are a UAE national working in the private sector
- Are a Person of Determination (Fazaa Hemam membership)
- Are part of a resident family with at least one child, through the free 2026 Year of the Family membership
To sign up, you enter your company code (from your HR department) on the Fazaa website or app, verify your mobile number, upload your Emirates ID and wait for approval. Families applying for the free 2026 membership don’t need a company code.

What Is a Fazaa Card?
A Fazaa card is a membership card from Fazaa, a national social initiative launched by Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. According to the UAE Cabinet, Fazaa started as a project of the Social Solidarity Fund for Ministry of Interior employees, designed to support staff and their families and to strengthen social solidarity.
Over time, Fazaa grew beyond the Ministry of Interior. Today it covers government and semi-government employees, registered private companies, People of Determination and, in 2026, resident families.
Your Fazaa card works as a digital membership card inside the Fazaa app. You show it at partner outlets, or use the app to book discounted services directly.

Is Fazaa a government card? It’s a government-backed programme, but it isn’t an ID card or a bank card. It’s a discount and services membership.
What Is Fazaa Membership?
Fazaa membership is your registered account in the programme. Your membership type decides which discounts and services you get. The type depends on where you work and how you joined, not simply on what you choose.
There are four main membership levels, plus special memberships:
| Membership | Who it’s for | Cost | Benefit level |
| Platinum | Ministry of Interior employees | Provided through employment | Highest: widest discounts and services |
| Gold | Government and semi-government employees | Paid subscription (fee shown in the app) | High |
| Silver | Semi-government employees and specific groups, including some private sector staff | Usually free | Core benefits |
| Discount | Eligible members at the entry level | Free | Basic discounts |
| Fazaa Hemam | People of Determination (citizens and residents) | Activated through the Zayed Higher Organization | Tailored benefits |
| Family membership 2026 | Resident families with at least one child | Free for 2026 | Discount-level benefits |
Fees for paid tiers change from time to time, so always check the current price inside the Fazaa app before you subscribe.

Who Is Eligible for a Fazaa Card?
Fazaa’s own registration page states that registration is limited to specific companies and is not open to the public. You’re eligible if you fall into one of these groups:
- Ministry of Interior employees
- Government and semi-government employees, where the entity is registered with Fazaa
- UAE nationals working in the private sector
- Employees of private companies that have signed up with Fazaa. For example, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce signed an agreement to include its member SMEs as partners in Fazaa programmes, and Al Masraf bank enrolled its employees.
- People of Determination holding a card from the Zayed Higher Organization (Fazaa Hemam)
- Resident families with at least one child (the 2026 free family membership)
Can expats get a Fazaa card? Yes, if their employer is registered with Fazaa, or through the free family membership in 2026. Expats working for a company that isn’t registered can’t join through work. Many workers paid on a WPS salary card, such as a FAB Ratibi or LuLu Exchange card, fall into this group, so the family route is usually their best option. If that’s you, our guides to NBAD balance inquiry and Lulu balance check cover managing those cards.
Can I get a Fazaa card without a company code? Only through special routes: the 2026 family membership, Fazaa Hemam, or occasional public promotions that Fazaa announces.
Fazaa Free Membership 2026: Year of the Family
This is the biggest Fazaa update of 2026 and the easiest way to get a card if your employer isn’t registered.
According to Gulf News, Fazaa and the Ministry of Family launched free Fazaa discount memberships for resident families in the UAE to mark the Year of the Family 2026. The key details:
- Who qualifies: resident families with at least one son or daughter
- Cost: free
- Valid until: the end of 2026
- No company code needed
- How to apply: through the registration link on the official Fazaa website, fazaa.ae
- Documents: personal details and Emirates ID copies for all family members, according to Gulf Business
- After approval: you get an email confirmation and activate your digital card in the Fazaa app
According to Gulf News, family members get discounts at more than 34,000 stores, hotel and travel discounts at more than 500,000 hotels worldwide through Fazaa Places, and up to 70% off tickets and entertainment in the Fazaa app. Fazaa also set up a dedicated support team at its contact centre to help families activate their digital cards.
Important: because this membership ends with 2026, check the Fazaa app near the end of the year for renewal or extension news.

Fazaa Card Benefits
Fazaa card benefits depend on your membership level. Platinum and Gold members get the most, while Discount and family members get the core discounts. Across all levels, benefits fall into these main groups.
Shopping and Retail
Discounts at thousands of partner outlets, including supermarkets, electronics, fashion and home stores. Fazaa also runs its own Fazaa Stores. When Sheikh Saif opened Fazaa Stores in Al Ain in 2020, an Abu Dhabi government news release reported that they offered more than 6,000 products at reduced prices for members.
Travel and Hotels
Discounted hotel stays worldwide through Fazaa Places, plus travel packages and airline offers.
Entertainment and Leisure
Up to 70% off tickets for theme parks, attractions, cinemas and events booked through the Fazaa app. If you’re taking the Dubai Metro to an attraction, run a quick Nol card balance check first so your card has the AED 7.50 minimum fare.

According to Al Masraf’s announcement of its Fazaa partnership, member services include car lease-to-own offers, along with automotive discounts.

What Is the Company Code for Fazaa Card?
The company code is a unique code Fazaa gives to each employer that registers with the programme. When you sign up, you enter this code so Fazaa can confirm that you work for an eligible organisation. The code also helps decide which membership level you get.
Where to find your Fazaa company code:
- Ask your HR department. This is the most reliable way.
- Check your HR onboarding pack, employee handbook or benefits documents.
- Look on your company intranet under staff benefits or employee privileges.
- Search your inbox for HR emails about staff benefits or discount cards.
What if HR doesn’t have a code? Your employer probably isn’t registered with Fazaa. Your company can contact Fazaa to ask about registering. In the meantime, check if you qualify through the free family membership.
Don’t use codes posted online. Some websites and forums share “Fazaa company code lists”. Codes belong to specific employers, and Fazaa verifies your employment during registration. Using another company’s code can lead to rejection or suspension of your membership.

With a Company Code (Employees)

- Tap Become a Member.
- Enter your company code and tap Proceed. Fazaa’s membership registration page starts with this step.
- Fill in your personal details: full name, Emirates ID number, mobile number and email.
- Enter the SMS code sent to your mobile to verify it.
- Upload documents, usually your Emirates ID (front and back) and proof of employment, such as an employee ID or salary certificate.
- Choose your membership plan if options are shown, and accept the terms.
- Submit and wait for approval.
- Once approved, log in to the Fazaa app to see your digital card and start using offers.
Without a Company Code (Family Membership 2026)
- Visit the official Fazaa website, fazaa.ae, and open the Year of the Family registration link.
- Enter your personal details.
- Upload Emirates ID copies for all family members.
- Submit and wait for the confirmation email.
- Activate your digital membership in the Fazaa app.
For People of Determination (Fazaa Hemam)
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Fazaa Hemam launched in June 2020 as a partnership between the Ministry of Interior’s fund, the Ministry of Community Development, the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and the UAE Special Olympics. Holders of a People of Determination card, citizens or residents, can activate Hemam membership through the Zayed Higher Organization’s channels.
Apply Only Through Official Channels
Fazaa’s official channels are the website fazaa.ae, the membership portal membership.fazaa.ae and the Fazaa app published on the App Store and Google Play. Many websites use “Fazaa” in their name but are not run by the programme. Don’t pay anyone to “get” you a card or a company code, and never share your Emirates ID or OTP with unofficial sites or callers. If something looks unclear, check it inside the official app before applying.
Documents You’ll Need
| Document | Employees | Family membership | Hemam |
| Emirates ID (front and back) | Yes | Yes, for all family members | Yes |
| Company code | Yes | No | No |
| Proof of employment | Usually | No | No |
| Active UAE mobile number | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| People of Determination card | No | No | Yes |
How Long Does Approval Take?
Approval can be quick for employees of registered companies, but it may take several days when demand is high, such as after the family membership launch. You’ll get a confirmation by SMS or email. If you haven’t heard back after a week, contact Fazaa support through the app or website.
Common Problems and Fixes
“Company code is invalid.” Check the code with HR. If it’s correct, your employer’s registration may have expired, so ask HR to contact Fazaa.
Application rejected. The usual causes are an expired Emirates ID, details that don’t match your ID, or an employer that isn’t registered. Fix the details and apply again.
OTP not received. Make sure your UAE number is active and has signal. Wait a minute before requesting another code.
Can’t see the digital card. Update the Fazaa app, then log out and log back in with your membership details.
Membership expired. Renew through the app. Paid tiers need an active subscription, and the family membership ends with 2026.
Changed jobs. Your membership is tied to your employer. If your new employer is registered, apply again with the new company code.
Is the Fazaa Card Worth It?
For most eligible members, yes. The Discount card and the 2026 family membership are free, so there’s no cost to join. Even occasional use, such as a discounted hotel stay or theme park tickets, can save real money.
For Gold membership, compare the monthly fee in the app with how often you’d use the benefits. The subscription is paid by bank card, so an online ATM balance inquiry in your banking app is a free way to confirm funds before subscribing. If you mainly want shopping and entertainment discounts, a free tier may be enough. If you want car lease-to-own offers or accident compensation, a higher tier makes more sense.
